April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This observance has been in place since 1983 (fka as Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act [CAPTA], 1974), focusing on raising awareness and preventing child abuse and neglect across the country. We know that this work is emotionally challenging for volunteer advocates and staff. The CasaManager team would like to thank you for your tireless efforts as you support your volunteers through this difficult work.
Here is a draft of a kind message you can send to your volunteers to thank them, too. To make it personal, you might consider handwriting a post card or letter to each volunteer. You can also create your own custom letter in CasaManager and email your found set of volunteer advocates directly from the database. If you’d like to learn how, contact me at gina@casamanager.com.
Dear CASA (or GAL) Volunteers,
As we step into the vibrant month of April, we also recognize it as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Your dedication and tireless efforts are not only invaluable, but also crucial in our mission to protect and nurture our communities’ youngest members. Thank you for your commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children. Together, we can continue to spread awareness, support, and hope.
With heartfelt gratitude,
