An exciting announcement about the future of CasaManager
After more than a decade of dedicated service to the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) & Guardian ad Litem (GAL) community, CasaManager’s longtime Owner & CEO, Jeff Hough, has announced his retirement and transition of CasaManager to new ownership. Under his leadership, CasaManager continued building on their legacy as the leading case management software for CASA & GAL programs in over 30 states. Originally founded in 1993, CasaManager was the first software solution built specifically to meet the needs of the CASA & GAL community.
There will be no changes to the current CasaManager team, product lines, or pricing — customers and users can expect continuity in service and support from the team they have relied on for years. Moving forward, CasaManager will continue investing in innovation and growth to broaden its reach and impact.
As he prepares for retirement, Jeff Hough shared,

As a part of his succession plan, Jeff Hough decided to partner with Sunlight to build upon that foundation. Ryan O’Donnell brings over a decade of experience building and scaling multiple technology start-ups and non-profit organizations. Prior to launching Sunlight, Ryan was a foster parent and he remains a passionate advocate for child welfare.

Prior to acquiring CasaManager, Sunlight launched Your Case Plan, often called “MyChart for Foster Care” providing a secure platform to improve communication and legal representation in child welfare cases. Already integrated with CasaManager, Your Case Plan’s secure HIPAA compliant web and mobile applications allows CASA & GAL volunteers to safely connect with youth in foster care and their broader care teams. Current CasaManager customers will receive free access to Your Case Plan, beginning January 2026.

- Is our data secure? Your data and account will remain unchanged as part of this transition.
